Align
Beverly Hills Pilates creates a disciplined workout for
ardent devotees to the art and science of Pilates. With
a dual emphasis on toning and alignment, Align's boutique atmosphere and insider exclusivity keeps
it small, accessible, never crowded, and very
personalized. To further our commitment to your total
fitness goals, we offer nutritional counseling,
acupuncture, massage therapy, and other modalities. Our
goal is to be your one stop shop for physical health,
balance, and well being. Pilates is more complex than
other forms of exercise. At Align, we combine
east coast and west coast Pilates philosophies to teach
you about breathing with movement, body mechanics,
balance, coordination, spatial awareness, strength and
flexibility.

Joseph
Pilates originally developed this technique for
rehabilitation of injured WWI soldiers. Since then,
Pilates has evolved into one of the best exercises for
building and maintaining core strength and balance while
creating a leaner, more aligned posture. Pilates uses a
diverse series of exercises that range from mat work to
specialized equipment utilizing a progressive spring
system. With over 500 individual exercises, almost every
part of the body can be strengthened, stretched and
toned.

Pilates is the most comprehensive,
all-over body workout possible in a limited amount time.
Few training programs incorporate stretching,
strengthening, coordination, and proprioception
(improvement of communication between the nerves and
muscles) as effectively as the Pilates method.
