JULIE AMICK, LLC, PILATES INSTRUCTOR/OWNER

Julie is a classically trained ballerina/dancer with credentials from some of the most prestigious schools and theatres in the nation including: North Carolina School of the Arts, The London Contemporary Dance Company and the The Tisch School of the Arts.  She is recognized as one of the most prominent and versatile Pilates instructor in Los Angeles.  Julie received her training under the tutelage of Romana Kryanowska and certified under Power Pilates of New York. With over a decade of teaching both West and East methods of Pilates, she is a great asset to the development of Align Beverly Hills. As principal instructor and cofounder of Align Beverly Hills her prodigious dance background and in-depth Pilates instruction has created a seamless integration of these two demanding fields resulting in a powerful and unique workout.

 
KEEGAN TYLER, PILATES INSTRUCTOR



Keegan
has studied Pilates since 1997, and is certified through the Physicalmind Institute. A natural performer from an early age, she has worked professionally as an actress, figure skater, and dancer over the last 20 years. A serious figure skating injury in 1996 brought her to the Pilates method. She found the work invaluable to her physical and mental training in the competitive skating world, and was inspired to become an instructor. Keegan’s experience with diverse clientele ensures a safe, personalized workout that’s fun and effective. She hopes to impart some of the same freedom and empowerment she has found through Pilates to all of her students.

Sher borrell, PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Sher enjoys all forms of movement and sharing it with others. Not only is she a dancer, choreographer and teacher (she received her BA in dance from the University of California, Irvine), she is a certified Aline Conditioning® Pilates instructor as well as a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® instructor. She has studied, taught and performed throughout the United States, Mexico City, Europe and is currently working in Palm Desert and the Los Angeles area. She has a passion for people, health and overall well being utilizing the movement modalities she specializes in. Working with people of various ages, athletic abilities and fitness backgrounds has enabled her to create innovative programs specific to clients' needs and goals in studios, gyms, schools, vacation destinations and the privacy of their own home. Nicole Myers, PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Nicole is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, and an alum of Texas Christian University where she graduated with honors with a BFA in Ballet and Modern dance. She began studying pilates at a young age as it paired nicely with her dance training. Nicole received her certification from Power Pilates in New York, under the tutelage of Bob Leikens and Susan Moran Perich. She has also studied anatomy with Irene Dowd. She is commited to actualizing her students' individual potential in the workout, emphasizing good body mechanics, Pilates form, and technique.

DANO GREGORI, PILATES INSTRUCTOR/Rehabilitation Specialist

Dano has a B.S. in psychology from University College in London. He obtained his Pilates certification from the Ellie Herman Studios in San Francisco, and is also certified in various rehabilitation and bodywork modalities. Dano seamlessly blends these complimentary techniques into the Pilates work, providing a refreshing and enlightening experience. His sessions incorporate manual muscle release, gait analysis, comprehensive muscle testing and more to truly bring balance and well being to the whole body.

NUTRITION

karen cohen, Cn
Karen Cohen is a certified nutritionist with an extensive educational background in nutrition science. In her practice and with her clients, Karen offers warm, supportive, practical dietary counseling based on the individual’s food preferences, habits and lifestyle.  Karen specializes in breaking the losing cycle of “yo-yo dieting” by tailoring an individualized program for each of her clients. Far beyond meal planning, Karen uses an in-depth health questionnaire in conjunction with Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA), a new technology which measures percentages of body fat and lean muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, hydration level, cellular toxicity, and overall cellar health. Karen will use this information to design a food and exercise plan that is customized for your lifestyle.

In addition to her practice, Karen is a collaborative partner with the American Heart Association, assisting them in developing nutritional programs.  Karen serves as a nutrition expert and has appeared on the television show “Coffee Break” to discuss the “No Fad Diet” book written by the American Heart Association.

She has been in private practice in association with Orthopedic surgeons and chiropractors since her graduation from Emperor's College of Oriental Medicine in 1999. Mitra has long history of commitment to patient centered health care with quality of life the primary focus. Her practice emphasizes the mind/body connection in health and well-being.  She integrates acupuncture, traditional Chinese herbal therapies and lifestyle counseling to treat acute and chronic problems and offers ongoing treatment as a wellness practice.Mitra believes that many chronic illnesses that occur due to overwork and stress may be prevented or reversed with regular wellness care.
